Attached is a picture of a mower I found whilst carrying out a house clearance. It’s got a Villiers engine which turns over on the hand crank and seem to have good compression. However I cannot work out what mower it is! No other names on it, and can’t conclusively id it from books or Internet search.
Excuse the poor picture not much light in the shed where it was found hiding!

    Anyone able to help?

It is a 14 inch Ransomes light motor, there should be a round badge on the side prefixed with letters followed by numbers, send me what it says and i’ll date it for you.
The petrol tank between the handles would have had a Ransomes transfer on it.

The only letters/numbers visible are SD329.

Could it be an Enfield Cycle Co. mower?

Thanks for that! One last thing……I’m 99.9% sure the engine is a villiers, I’m just not sure on what model. Are you able to help with this as well HDtrust?
