    Hi
I’m in the process of restoring a martin markham 7hp tractor, whilst stripping it down I found that one of the planet gears was munched along with a couple of the other gears. I don’t suppose any one has any parts?

    Thanks Richard

I believe the transmission was the weak area on these machines.I know someone who used one regularly on his allotment 25 odd years ago and when the gearbox broke he scrapped it.He did give me his original owners manuals and a rotavator attachment.I think your best bet would be to have the gears made but it will cost many £££££££,s

Hi i replaced the bearings in the gearbox on mine as most of the troubles come from failed bearings check the needle roller nr the righthand trumpet hard to get the right one it must be a full complement bearing .for parts try gary chambers, garycolt on the forum.
