    I now have an ATCO 16″ mower , this is the early pre war type with the foreword facing fuel tank, it is the same as my 28″ model, but that is fitted with the JAP 600cc engine. This one is fitted with the Common Villiers two stroke, there is no coil present, and I need to replace with a new coil, QUESTION does anyone know what model no of villiers engine that Atco used, so I can get a coil? sorry no photo at present as it is down the barn.I know someone restored an identical machine on this forum, but I cant remember who, I have seen it exhibited at one of the shows, and a very nice job he made of it too.

    If you look to lower rear of the cylinder barrel you may find the model number cast into the barrel.
