Andy, welcome to the forum. Amongst the club members there is a wide knowledge base so you should be able to get most of the answers you are looking for. Paid up members have the advantage of been able to put requests for help in the club magazine which all club members will see, (not all club members use the website). The club also publish a list of suppliers and have a members directory. Membership year runs from 1st Jan, but if you join now membership will run till end of 2018. The club magazine will give you an idea of what people do at shows.

A photo of the road run to give an idea of what it was like. I am sure there will be more photos in The Cultivator.

A great weekend and thanks to everyone, organisers and participants.
The mystery object was a genuine Monro Tiller trailer, towed behind series 3 Monro Tiller for road run.

Could be an air leak. If gasket between carb and engine is good then it may be a worn throttle spindle allowing air in.

It certainly looks like a daisy grubber, not seen a spring loaded one before.

First step would be to clean points in magneto as a layer of corrosion can build up.

I may have room for a passenger or two, bring your own seat/chair.

The price was not unreasonable, considering rarity of machine. I do know another club member has bought it. So it has gone to a good home.

Oily rag for now I think. I have been told that the Museum of Internal Fire have Petter engine manuals, might be worth enquiring.
