What is it you need, without a parts list the number does not mean a lot.

Sadly Cox & Turner are snowed under with work and are not taking on new work outside their core activities. They do have a huge stock of piston rings and can make rings if required.

Ouch, glad I didn’t go to the sale that is way beyond my funds, but does reflect it’s rarity. Wonder if it will ever be seen on the rally field?

Peter, if you send your e mail address to club e mail account (vhgmc@btinternet.com) I will pick it up and send copy of manual, the most useful part of the manual for a strip down is the parts list.

Geo Monro did not start manufacture of Rototiller until 1948 with the model 56. Prior to this date they were importers and agents for the Swiss made Rototiller models 5, 30,50 etc. Picard and Pictet were importers up to 1930.
Estimates of value are very difficult as so many factors can affect what someone is willing to pay eg model, condition, location etc. If you look on e bay it will give some idea of prices they fetch. It is not clear which model you have as 30 and 50 are very different machines, could you please add a photo to enable identification of model.

A real transformation. Another interesting restoration project I see in the workshop there.

My misunderstanding, but looking at the gallery photo, your left hand would hold the handle seen in the photo and I assume your right hand would hold the shaft drive as a second handle.

A rather pointless statement,’if its broke it dont work’ because you wont know if its broke till you have tested it! It might be worth speaking to someone like George at Villiersparts to see if they can yest it or recommend somewhere that could.

From photo gallery pages of this website, Howard Bantam with drive shaft along side clearly visible and a Bullfinch which has centre drive to rotors, couldn’t find photo of 220.

Does it need a complete carburettor? Parts to service and overhaul the old carb may be available at Briggs and Stratton Parts or Briggsbits Another possible source is Meetens
If you need a parts list try Briggs and Stratton website
