    Neil Jarrett, (ransomes256 on this forum) is the man for spares and information.
    To start the engine yoiu need to pull out one of the two buttons on the rear of the clutch, engine may need turning over slowly to get it to engage.

    First clean and adjust points, they can build up a layer of corrosion. Coil and condenser really need professional test gear to testthem thoroughly, a multimeter will show if condenser is short circuit and if coil, primary and secondary windings, are open circuit.     It might be worth contacting Cox and Turner Engineering aboput a replacement piston.

    The blades do not need to swing 360 on their mounting bolts, they only beed to swing in if an obstruction is hit. I suspect the bolts have a shoulder rather than a plain shank, to ensure the blades do swing.

    A photo of the blade set up would help to see if aluminium plate should be flat and if blades should rotate.

    The manual does not specify engine model but does show parts diagram.

    Not sure about Auto Culto but as far as I know most of these garden machines did not have a workshop manual as such. There is a workshop manual for the Villiers Mk10,12 and 15 engines.

    Will, if you read page 4 of the Dec magazine you will see it tells you there is no auto renew option and what to do.
