I have a howard 200 with an Aspera engine and need to replace the bolts that hold the carburettor onto the engine block (one lost and one bent). Can anyone tell me what size threads these are, a full description of the bolts and where I might purchase replacements

Despite Aspera bing Italian the original design was by Tecumseh from the USA. If you post the engine model number, it should be possible to give you an accurate part description but for now Iā€™m guessing 1/4ā€ UNC x 3/4ā€ long

Here are some photos of the bolt I need, the carburettor and the engine model numbers. hope this helps you identify the exact bolts I need. They obviously do not need to be a philips head, hexagon would be fine. The bolt is 1 & 5/8″ long not including head and is indeed 1/4″ shank diameter.

or get some 1/4 UNC studding (threaded rod) and nuts and make your own.
