Tarpen type 42

hi all

Just starting my 3rd rebuild, This time its a Tarpen type 42 (the one with the 2 side panels with the tank above it, with switch, 2 sockets and a gauge)

It was a non starter spark and fuel wasn’t the issue, I have found the crankcase gasket had rotted away

Lucky I striped it as the oil ways into the bearings where slugged up as was the crank case, The conrod was unusually stiff so I degreased and cleaned the big end has 2mm of movement (up/down) now so I need to get that sorted

Does anyone know of a parts list / manual for this Tarpen is available online to download ?, I also need a spares supplier ?? – I have read that the engine may be a Villiers / Villiers design if so what model is it ??

while im waiting for parts, I will media blast the tank and tin work and get some fresh paint on it 1-2 of etch with 3 of top coat

here you go, I still had them on the camera last night, it has the wipac mag and amal carb

Engine certainly has a JAP/Villiers look but not sure which or what model.
