    Has anyone re-timed a Simar type 5 ? I need to time mine, but have no information. It has an ML magneto fitted, which is original as far as I can see.

    Thank you Andy, but the manual from Charlie does not cover the magneto.

    In that case it may be down to trial and error , I did this with my 56A , from memory I started off at 3/16 BTDC , and played around from there.

    All sorted now , thanks to Charlie and his extensive archive, it is worth hanging on to all historic material, however tatty !
