    Hi all.

I have a newly purchased Howard gem with a British juniour engine that I have replaced the clutch friction plate on (6 holes) exactly to how it was before the clutch broke, due to 1 of the 3 bolts totally rounding its threads off and then a second coming lose then the clutch falling apart inside and the engine chewing the friction plate apart.

Anyway, new plate fitted, 1 new bolt purchased and now having problems when I disengage the clutch to put it into gear it grinds even when the engine is just above idle. I don’t want to force it into gear and do damege. Also it will engage the rotors however it goes with a bit of a clunk…. Bolts are wound in level with the plate that is closest to the engine fly wheel.

Also on a side note how would the bolts be stopped from unwinding like last time and ruining the new clutch?

    Many thanks Dave
