I have no spark on a Zenoah two-stroke. The resistance on the coil is 6.5 Ohms on the 20k setting which could indicate it’s working correctly although I don’t have a manual. I think the item in the photo below is a condenser, but I’m not sure. Should it be open circuit to earth?

As there is no facility my review my post, I hope this comes out ok. It’s not a brilliant photo. Also, I know it’s not a vintage machine, but it might be one day if I can get it going!

First time I’ve used this new forum and I’m baffled. Where is the original posting?

Coils can’t be “PROPERLY” tested using a multimeter , have it tested on a professional ignition tester , your local small engine centre or mower repair shop should have one.

Links to photobucket can be problematic, better to post photo on forum.
