    Acquired this recently. I believe its a no 102 Knapsack? Happy if someone could confirm?

    Its painted grey, with a galvanised or similar coated copper tank. It still has the original rubber hose with wire winding fixing on one end and modern pipe clip on the other. I suspect this is a later model.

    Its missing its tank lid – anyone got a spare??

    Paint was in reasonable nick, but the brass bits were black. I’ve cleaned these and give
    a quick black paint respray to the iron and wood parts to tidy it up.

    Looks quite good I think.

    It’s an External, either 102 – Tinned or 103, Lead coated. (101 is copper finish), bit of catalogue, my copper 101, and tinned 102….

    interested in why there is a tinned version and a leaded version? have the copper version myself

    Quote from the Four Oaks catalogue:-
    101 – (copper) for all washes Liver of sulphur, Lime Sulphur and Sulphuric acid.
    102 – (tinned copper) for Lime Sulphur and Liver of sulphur.
    103 – (lead coated) for Sulphuric acid.
