    Did a compression test and had no compression on 1 cylinder. I have had the head off and reground all valves in as 1 was looking like it wasn’t seating properly.   • It’s a bit of a head scratcher this end too mate. It got put into dry storage a year ago. We collected it a few weeks back and obviously any fuel etc had gone stale. we cleaned the carb out and flushed the tank and it ran fine.     I am going to do a compression test as it is spitting back through the air filter a bit which would say to me either a bent inlet valve or one that is not seating properly. My uncle used to work on garden machinary so is quite sorted when it comes to older engines. He suggested the replacing the carb jets etc…[Read more]

  • I Haven’t no. It was running fine when it was put in dry storage so didn’t think I would need parts etc. Are these machines really that hard to get parts for? What if I need a set of valves for example, head gasket etc?
