Good Morning all.
I’ve been restoring a Wolseley Clearway lately. It was in a fairly sorry state so it’s been a fairly extensive job. Obviously as Wolseley don’t exist anymore (at least not in a horticultural sense) Parts are hard to come by.
However most the parts are available if you know where to look. Most the engine parts are available still via Briggs 243432 1141-01 is the model and type.
The same can be said of the Hydrostatic unit. This is an Eaton model 6 or 7 I’m not exactly sure. Eaton still exist and parts for this seem to be available, or even a whole new hydrostat (pricey though almost £1000) A useful document can be found here: https://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@eaton/@hyd/documents/content/pll_1618.pdf
The transmission itself is a Peerless (Techumseh), I believe a 1305. I’m not sure how available parts are for this, fortunately my unit is good so I’ve not delved into this!
Most the other wearing parts can be found for sale with normal belt and bearing suppliers. I have attached a list at the bottom.
The only wear part I cannot find is a Blade. I don’t know if anyone else would know where I can find one? If not I will look into getting some made if people are interested.
All the best
Adam
