I went over to Bratton, Wiltshire at the weekend (April 23rd & 24th) where the informal vintage gathering is held. I met a very nice couple who had bought some garden machinery and they took away a membership form. They had bought a Merry Tiller post 1971 (white engine) and Truck like mine, a Colwood RA and from their photo’s I was able to identify them. They thought they wouldn’t ever see another Merry Truck but I had mine there! Gary Sainsbury was there on Saturday with a rare Sunbeam Mower with an Aspera two stroke engine. I saw a horse skimmer and sure enough it was a Reeves, made in the village of Bratton. Among the other horticultural machines were a couple of Mayfields and a Westwood. There also was a 3 wheel Gunsmith in a trailer behind a Fordson Major. Finally in the military section there was this AA gun, and driving it was a Suffolk punch engine!
