ParticipantA quick update on the Weeley weekend. The weather is set fair for the
weekend. There will be a small static display near the livestock pen
and a small for sale area at the top of the camping field. PLEASE if
setting up your camp or caravan do not park too close to the compound
and please remember that all dogs must be on a lead at all times.
see you all there on Saturday.September 15, 2014 at 9:14 pm #10067will-haggle

MemberI’m looking forward to it Dave. I shan’t be bringing the Simar this time, as it needs a lot of work before it is used seriously again, but I plan on borrowing Rickys Howard 700 as well as bringing my Hayter 21 (Only because it will be 10 years almost to the day that I found it), so long as the new engine is built/fitted and assuming that there is an area of grass to cut this year. I might also bring the Barford and trailer, as I have finally got it running right.

Participantdavid 1987 sorry that you cannot make it. I will post some photos
just to remind you what you have missed. On Thursday I spent all
day topping the working field and today (Friday) I have marked out
the ploughing plots and the play pen area. The field is a bit tough
but with the lack of rain this has to be accepted. I hope to meet up
with you in the near future.
see you soon. Dave.September 19, 2014 at 6:59 pm #10110trustymasseyman

ParticipantI had a great weekend at Weeley, many thanks to Dave Weeley, the landowner and Dave Clark and the team for a great club event, it reminded people of Bingham but had a better camping field. You can enter for the ploughing matches. A Junior one on Saturday and the Seniors took part on Sunday. There was an area for those who wanted to play or learn or rotavate. There was also an excellent display of members machines….
Some pictures, Kim Tooley with his Allen Roper, Howard 700 borrowed from Ricky Lee Mapes by Andrew Miles, suffered an engine failure, anyone got a piston for a Hirth Diesel? KeymasterA great weekend, well worth driving 206 miles to get there. Worth going just to meet other club members and have a good chat as well as see machines working or static display. Thanks to everyone involved in organising the event and to every club member that attended.

ParticipantThanks to everybody who came to Weeley and helped to make it
such a good weekend. I am putting a piece together for the
Cultivator so I wont go here but it was worth all the effort.September 23, 2014 at 6:49 pm #10172hortiman
ParticipantWhat happened to the Hirth piston? looks like it was running dry, maybe the pipe feeding the cylinder bore was blocked, or oil pump failed.
I have a s/h piston but not sure of size, it may be oversize.Chris
