Just an interesting curiosity I found and thought I’d mention it.

I was poking around a garden centre the other day and came across a cast garden roller for sale. The roller is about 13″ across so quite compact, but it also has I assume a stand to the rear which I have never seen before – but probably everyone else has!

Don’t think I have seen one with a stand before, more they usually have a counter weight to keep handle upright.

    Hello Alan,
I have seen this format of handle on a roller before. They are normally feature on lower cost lightweight rollers which do not have a balance weight within the roller which when stationary will keep the handle upright. On this type the handle will prop virtually upright as seen in your photographs or horizontal with the prop section of the handle resting on the ground.
    Regards–Steve
