Hi I’m looking at picking up a Trusty seat attachment and was wondering how heavy it is? I have a large hatchback car and was wondering if a car would carry the weight? I don’t want to hire a van if I don’t need to? Thanks Rich
Take your spanners with you and you should be OK. The wheels come off, so does the seat and the axle is held on with two long bolts. If you dismantle it you would be surprised how small you can make it.
Two people can pick one up quite easily so it shouldn’t overtax your car’s suspension.
Best of luck.
Geoff
Further to Geoffs answer, it certainly wont be a problem weight wise, just be aware that, depending on its condition, there is no guarantee the wheels will want to come off. When I got mine, I had to take it to the forge to shift one of the wheels.
Unbolting the axle will make it small enough to fit.
Joe.
