JAP 2A

Hi,
new here, I aquired a bullfinch with a jap 2A a few years back, it’s in good original condition for its age, the engine runs but has a knock when running, I’d be inclined to strip it down and see what the problem is but not sure who can supply parts, unfortunately no engine parts list or manual. I’m no stranger to small engine repair but not jap.

Welcome to the forum. Parts should be available there are a number of suppliers including Meetens, speak to Paul. I have manual / parts list for the 2a which I can scan and e mail, just drop me a personal message with your e mail address.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I can’t send pm’s. Not quite got the space at the moment to work on the engine, I don’t think the Gem need worry, there’s room for both.
