While using my MG40 at the start of the year I had to resort to using some of the igniters that I got with the tractor to get the engine started in the cold.
Does anyone know of a source for igniters suitable for a Sachs 600L diesel?
See attached pic for what I’m talking about.
    Many thanks, Rob.

Thanks Chris, photo of tin would be good. I’m referring to them as igniters, is this the correct term?
Your MG40 has the Drayton doesn’t it? What’s it like for starting, can you start it without an igniter during the summer?

Thanks for the video Charlie, that looks to be a good alternative. Must give that a try.

Yes Rob, I am Drayton powered. I do put a zunder/ wick in when it has not been run for a while. Its not run since last year. Always starts well.

It will start with out in the summer which is good. Can put a few drops of oil down which helps
