InactiveI haven’t done it but seen a guy fill a tank with sand to weld it. A mate of mine used to weld them at his work and would just run a muffler of a vehicle into the tank for a few minutes and then weld it, never emptied the fuel out either….not for me!!

MemberBeen a bit pushed this weekend but have cleaned up the main gearbox shaft and fitted the rebuilt clutch to it. Took a while to clean the threads with a small file as they seem to of picked up a clout in storage, everything ok now though. Sorry no pictures as camera died. Just been and bought a new one- they haven’t half come down in price! A 16 megapixel for less than a third of the price I paid for a 6mega pixel a few years back. Will take some shots as soon as its finished charging.

MemberHave been making good progress with welding up the rear end. I won’t post any pictures of the covers until I’ve finished them as I’m sure I’m not doing it the professional way, but seems to be strong. After I’ve finished his howard I won’t be taking on any more Howard’s for the foreseeable future as I’ve got to weld up my other passion which is my subaru, the second shot shows the worst bit which is the sill now its been blasted.

Memberhi gareth. looks like the car next to your Subaru needs a wee bit of attention also,i think it needs a LOT of welding on that or is it a written off vehicle ?

MemberHi John that was a result of keri and the ice.she luckily walked away with minor cuts and scratches. The car has been weighed in now as was a bit past saving.

Participantover 60 K301’s in stock, varying from rebuilt to as is.Easily exported to India and the pacific rim, they love them as long as they are converted to electronic ignition.
