hello everyone – thanks to all who replies to my post about the Atco, which is now finished…

My next project was found at the back of an ancient shed and hasn’t seen daylight for at least 30 years…

Its a Greens Centenary, and I can find nothing about it on the internet. Looking at its construction , bolt threads etc I’d guess it at about 1920’s? All the threads are Whitworth and the nuts are all square, not hex….

Does anyone know anything about this model? Do any pictures exist?

    Thanks in advance !

    Chris

The Hall and Duck Trust may well be able to help, Andrew is a forum user so should see this.

Sorry I can’t help with a photograph but the Old Lawnmower Club Directory of Lawnmowers describes the Greens Centenary as a low cost manual roller mower available only in a twelve inch cut. The Centenary was produced in the 1930’s and in 1935 cost Three Pounds. Three Shillings. Including the grass box.
