Reassembing my ?1953 Geest Villiers engined autotruck. It has an Albion gearbox with three forward speeds and reverse. There is an adjuster by the clutch actuating lever whose function is obvious. There another in/out adjuster into the main body of the gearbox which was just finger tight and needs setting properly. What does that adjuster do please? The gears work OK but are stiff to operate.

Do you know which model of Albion gearbox it is. I have information for both the HR and HJR both are 3 speed and reverse gearboxes.

Looking at your photo and the diagrams I posted I would say it is a HJR type gearbox.
Are the parts you need information about numbered 38, 39 and 40 in the diagram? If so they are the operator plunger. To set plunger it should be screwed home and then unscrewed half a turn to ensure plunger engages in V slots in the operator (part 47) correctly. Screwdriver slot lies in the same plain as head of plunger.
