Ive managed to acquire a Villiers 12 to put in the Hoemate I’m restoring. The engine I’ve bought currently has no pulley on it, the Hoemate drives off a belt from the engine to the gearbox. Am I best getting a pulley off internet auction sites or is there anywhere where they’re available off the shelf? Also does anyone know what size pulley I’d need to fit? Finally (apologies for all the questions) where do I get a drivebelt from, and how do I calculate the size I was thinking along the idea of tying some string round the pulleys and measuring the length that way?
