    bought this the other week few hours and it was running again it is a 1964 with a villiers

    my daughter and I are restoring it I rub down she paints!

    really enjoying it will try to exhibit it next year

    Is it a Bonser? I’m not saying it isn’t but Bonsers and Martin Markham trucks have the engine under the seat… This is one I photographed at Kemble, Glos. in 2007…

    Its a Bonser half ton truck, the bigger ones with the engine under the seat are one ton trucks, we have owned both types and still have the larger one.

    what is the best way to re=attach the friction segments to the plates on the Albion clutch

    one way is to clean totally and apply araldite rapid to mating surfaces. but there will be other ways . Lovely piece of working transport. there is a following on the forum,so you wont be alone.

    I would favour Loctite Multibond as it tolerates a less than perfectly clean surface and doesn’t go brittle when hard. Used it with success to re-bond Hayter21/Osprey clutch linings and the clutch pads on my BRL cylinder grinder.

    I have dropped a clutch spring from the albion gearbox. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?
    The Bonser is a workhorse for me and I need the spare gearbox
