I’ve just watched a Farm Through Time on channel 5, this episode covers the wartime farm featuring a Fordson tractor which was a wartime tractor unlike the Field Marshall in the Wartime Farm, anyway I watched the Land Girls and Lumber Jills and then who should turn up but that well known Tractor of London representative, Geoff Ravenhall, Charman of this ‘ere club! Well done, Geoff for demonstrating the advantages of the Trusty. Geoff’s bit starts at 22.32. Of course he could have mentioned the British Anzani Iron Horse, which, like the Fordson changed colour during the war from orange to, in this case grey. I’ve not heard a Trusty described as Nifty before!
