Quite a few two wheel and four wheel vintage machines had this tyre size fitted, they are no longer produced but remaining old stock is available in USA from a specialist supplier at a cost of about $900 plus freight for two tyres and tubes.
I had a problem recently on one of my Monarchs where inner tube had deteriorated,( well it must be 60 years old) and had slow puncture after inflating to ten pounds pressure complete valve shot out over my shoulder.
The Tyre is sound, in good condition and one of a matching pair but where was I going to find another inner tube ?
Anyway a visit to my local specialist agricultural tyre dealer and discussion taking into account low ten pound pressure, not hard working and light loading ended up fitting 6.00 x 19 inner tube. We decided against fitting larger size due to problem of folding.
Anyway early days buts seems okay and will keep you posted on how it goes.
22.00 x 9.00 are available and there seem to be 22.00 x 8.00 secondhand about that were fitted to Japanese mini tractor but with a horrible looking tread pattern.
Anybody got any thoughts

I made exhaustive enquiries about 20+ years ago for my DB2Ds, all the manufacturers I contacted said that they used to produce them, but moulds were lost or destroyed years ago, I used to find scrap Plowmates etc as a source of tyres, but they have a value of their own now, so that source has more or less dried up. As for tubes, I think I may be able to help with a used one, If interested let me know and I will look.
