yes I have just found out angus. I have now taken some photos and I wonder if some one can nail down the engine in question. also the carb is a Villiers ,but which one ? and the rollers look odd but when you see them they lookas if they are meant to be like that,or am I wrong ?

This evening I collected the machine and what a well kept little gem she is. small Villiers mk 10 I think,with a rope start.No recoil starting on this model. date approx 1953. Have also the original owners hand book. Has had two owners from new only. the first was an engineer,who I guess spoilt it rotten. the next is an undertaker and I suppose when he had cut his lawn always sent it to the shed with style..ho ho must not give up the day job. so this is the smallest cyclinder engine powered one which ATCO made.
It can be a problem price of tyres, I’ve never found anybody who is very reasonable but once you get them its not to do again . but you can still have a nice project on older tyres . Keep up the good work
oh yeah it lives again . just got on website again too so more joy I’ve being missing out . keep up the good work ,by the way that must be a record for simar kids engine restoration
Hello Owen. Many thanks again for the advice much appreciated, I didn’t think of that one. I’ll be changing the fuel etc tomorrow and start to get things cleaned out.
Hi Martin. welcome to the new forum. I to have the same ailment as yourself I get myself in knots over it at times and it shows in my pattisson resto. trying to upload my first photo just had me climbing the wall. and also the first upload of a video. Never mind it all works out in the end.
