Thanks Andy. I have zero experience with farm machines, but decades of servicing motor and pedal cycles behind me. I suspected I knew the answer to my question and was seeking confirmation of my suspicion – which you have given. Only decision now is whether to do the work myself or pop the gearbox in the boot and take it over to someone who knows what they’re doing! 😉
