    Hi all i have recently purchased a trusty steed mk2 with electrics. It’s a tug tractor with no implement lift with a jap engine. ( as it was ordered on the 27/ 02 /1959) im wanting to know if anyone can help me with any photographs or diagrams of how the starter/ dinamo was situated. The tractor is in bits without this being evident atall although I have the fuel tank bracket with the battery tray one end and the dash the other. It’s a very late machine being number 422 as they finished production at number 427 i believe. If anyone could help i would be very grateful. I have looked in Geoff books and have seen the picture of the one made for general lighterage company limited for the use at London docks but this one was ordered by a mr Gregory in Cheshire. I have asked the chap that the person brought it off of that I purchased it from and he says that he members his dad buying it off of a mr Don Gregory. And that they brought it in bits to so….

    Further to this. Ive just looked on the steed register on this forum ( probs should have done this before but….) it says it was sold on the 13/04/1965 i dont know who is correct on the date. This forum or mr jackson on FB but the year is still correct and the selling agent to

    As far as I know the dates in the Trusty register are from the factory records, so I would assume those to be correct.
