    Hi, can anyone help regarding clutch springs,does anyone know where I can get clutch springs, the clutch is binding on tick over, must be week springs or am I missing something

    Hi Trusty9428 – I had similar problems and with much help from this site and especially Trusty220 I now have a perfect working clutch. I will try to do a link for the thread here (which has photos etc.), but despite me rebuilding the whole clutch (new springs, re-lined clutch shoes, new copper washer and clutch bushes) the thing that really solves the problem is to grease the clutch bush. You should find a grease nipple at the end of the keyway.
    Do take care tightening up the bolts on the cast clutch housing as this can easily crack.
