While doing a spring clean in Mr Wallingfield’s caves complex a major discovery was found wrapped up in boxes was the long ,thought lost Reading Hoard, this for who doesn’t know was a company set up by the Ministry of Agriculture to promote horticultural machinery.
The hoard is comprised of brochures and sales literature to promote these companies, Companies like
Howard, Wheel- horse, Bolens, Atco,Trusty,Landmaster,Brott,Ransomes MG, Shay and many more.
All this original material will be auctioned on the web from this Sunday, a rare chance for all collectors to have a chance at the Reading Hoard!
