Newcomer to restoration and this website.

Stripped down an ajax 4 .. Ransome , but after removing landrollers and ‘clickers’ , cannot split rollers. I am thinking to tap rod out but doesnt budge.

Also, is the pin in the side, after removing large sprocket meant to be straight but tight ? Mines bent and took some shifting.
Thirdly , how do I remove the square fittings off both ends of the cylinder blade
I know photos would help but I just cant do it, even after reading very detailed instructions.
I am hoping, if you have restored one, you’ll know what I’m asking.

    Thankyou all

The blocks are the bearing carriers and can be levered off with a couple of pry bars or tyre levers. Take care as they are made of a relatively soft alloy. The carriers may come off leaving the bearings behind, which can then either be levered off or pulled off with a two or three leg puller.
