Can someone please tell me how to resize the pictures of my Howard. They were taken on my Nikon and the file size of each is about 10mb and hence too big for the paltry 3mb we are allowed.. I am using a Mac
I use shrinkpic on my pc, not sure if it works on a Mac. This software is free and runs in the background, automatically resizing images when uploading to web or e mail. You should have photo editing software and it probably has an option to save images in a format and file size suitable for the web.The file size is limited for several reasons, upload and download time and storage space on the server.
Thanks for the info guys. Yes, you can alter the settings on my Nikon. Trouble is I keep it set on High Quality all the time and just forgot to change it for these shots. Once taken cannot be changed easily !
I have re-taken on my pocket camera on a lower resolution.
Microsoft Office picture manager has an option to compress photo and list e mail or web etc. There must be a similar option on a Mac. If you open your photo editing software and use help to find ‘compress photo’ it should give the answer, possibly resize. No need to take photo again on different camera.
I have Samsung, the photo size can be altered in 2 seconds connected the camera to computer and uploaded straight from the cameras memory card or storage. I use photo size for Email, no need to transfer the photo to the computer unless you want to.
