KeymasterI am trying to create a list of tyre sizes no longer available, ideally with details of what machines each size fits.
To start Monro Tiller, Barford Atom 12×3 (3.00×6). Barford Atom 30 5-12 , Trusty Earthquake 3.00×10.February 18, 2015 at 11:46 am #11749dave

ParticipantHello Charlie.
As mentioned by Dave 6.00×22 have not been made for 30+ years, I tried to locate the whereabouts of moulds several years ago, but it seems they have been destroyed/lost.
Apart from Plowmate, Iron Horse, they also fit David Brown 2D, Coleby shire, Garner 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler, Gunsmith et etc.
Most surviving tyres are now showing their age with cracked sidewalls etc, most important to shield them from the sun.

KeymasterI think it needs someone to win the lottery and get a batch of 6.00 x 22 made, there must be a market for them, if the price is right.

Keymasternavanman, thanks for that bit of info. Would probably be worth someone making a bulk purchase, if tread pattern was suitable.

Participant600 x 22 are available in USA as 750 x22 from Miller Tire who also supply the stockists in Australia
They are the remaining stock from the last batch produced by Firestone/Bridgestone and the price reflects this.
This size was fitted as standard to OTA and Monarch tractors but the other optional tyre size originally offered by OTA and Singer was 750 x20 which you can obtain or the grassland tyre 800 x 19.
It is not only the tyre you need to consider but inner tubes as I recently found out and am on the advise of my local tyre specialist experimenting with , some 600 x 19 inner tubes inside otherwise sound 600 x 22 tyres, so far so goodFebruary 22, 2015 at 9:31 pm #11810vhgmcbuddy
MemberThanks Franktonpaget,
I wonder could we get a list of people together that want a pair and went for a bulk order. That closed thread pattern looks much better than the open thread on the modern tyres

MemberJust a thought
I saw 8×300 tyres ( for my Autoculto Autogardener) for 30 euros each on this site and the postage didnt seem that excessive. Haven’t bought yet though !
