KeymasterJust a quick few lines to say that I hope to see many of you this weekend at Newark. I will be there on Thursday to set up the club stand; Steve Woollas, Paul MacKellow and Sandra Clark are the members who are showing their items on the stand itself, and they will be “dressing” it on Friday and Saturday morning.
According to my paperwork it should be in the normal location in the corner of Crocker Hall 2. There will be a small area for socialising/eating/storage behind the stand with tables and chairs, so if the walking around gets too much come on over and take the weight off for a bit.
Just so that I get no complaints this time I’ve bought two Gala Pork Pies. Regulars on the stand will tell you that when the pork pie comes out there is a feeding frenzy for ten minutes, so get there early to ensure you get a slice. Bring your own pickle!
The Trusty Roller will also be in attendance for those of you interested who didn’t come to Weeley. It is now sporting a brand new toolbox which I hope to have finished for the show.
See you all there!

KeymasterUpdate- the stand is now completed and exhibitors are turning up thick and fast. Normally there is nobody there on Friday morning when I normally get there, but it looks like people are making a weekend of it already.
See you all there!

KeymasterI’ve thought of that one as well- I bought two for this year to save disappointment!

ParticipantA great show to end 2018 season. Great photos Geoff. We have just booked up a Travelodge ready to start the 2019 season at Malvern

KeymasterExcellent display, congratulations to everyone involved. A very good mix of machinery and tools with a few rare and unusual items. The whole section really shows the range of items covered by the heading ‘horticultural’ and specifically what the VHGMC is all about.
