Lost from outside my house in Calne on the afternoon/evening of 8th June 2015 between approximately 3pm and 9pm. Two Merry Tiller Majors with a F. Wright plough and a Dozer blade, part of my display which is taken to rallies. I’d taken them out of my van to help a neighbour move some chairs. When I went out at 9pm to put them back they’d gone. Tarpen accessories that were with them were left. These items may have been picked up by mistake or moved to a safer place by a neighbour, I will investigate tomorrow, meanwhile the loss has been reported to Wiltshire Police, ref:541 500 501 15.

I hope you discover It was a mistake or a neighbour. I know in theses days we thing the worst, I remember times when you didn’t have to worry about having to lock everything away.

I’m sure that a neighbour would have knocked on the door as my wife was home, I’ll check if they saw anything….

My Neighbour saw one of them being wheeled past his House, at the end he turned left into a Cul-de-sac. May have had a van parked nearby, or he’s put it into a lock-up. Anyway I won’t be beaten, I’ve still got three!

Alan, very sorry to hear about the theft, keep an eye on that auction site. Whoever took them clearly only wanted the easily sold on machines and not the attachments, the plough is fairly distinct.

There may be a further development, a neighbour has passed on an address, which I’ve passed on to the police…..

    Success!
My friendly local policeman came along tonight with the man who took the machines, luckily he still has them and will return them tomorrow! Great News!

    I’m delighted!

Great news Alan , I know how much your machines mean to you, Sadly I suspect the lowlife that took them will walk away with a mere bit of finger wagging.

    Andy.

What did he have to say for himself by way of an excuse??
Great result, Alan. It gives you a bit more confidence in the Boys in Blue. Well done to them as well!
