    i have purchased a howard 350 with no clutch what is the simplest alternative ? any ideas on fabricating a tensioner wheel or centrifugal pulley budget not very big im afraid..

    clutches for the Howard 350 come up regular on e-bay it depends if machine is just to be used in garden or shown at events

    Personally I’d buy a Chinese centifugal clutch. These seem to work ok for the money.

    this machine is going to live at the allotment so does not have to be original.

    fitted a centrifugal clutch, test run on Saturday so fingers crossed it doesn’t slip and burn out..
