Go out for the day? Treat her to a meal at her favourite restaurant? No, take your Honda F80, leave her for half a day and plough three quarters of an acre. Still, it was for the charitable organisation she works for, and she did arrange it!
Great to be behind a machine again, and doing some proper work for the first time in 5 years. After being very reluctant to keep going (the Honda, not me) within 15 minutes she was running like a dream.
Just goes to show that our old machines are best doing what they were made for, and do not benefit from being static for ages and started intermittently.
Even better, I’m now told they would like me to rotavate the land before they plant it in the spring! So, the question now is, dare I use the Simar (bearing in mind the land is right next to the car park that the public use to get to the charity) and risk deafening the visitors (and the nuns who live nearby), or do I do the sensible thing and use the Gem Hatz diesel? Decisions, decisions…..

You are guaranteed an audience if you use the Simar ! Suggest suppluing free earplugs for all interested watchers.

Actually I could charge for the ear plugs, Chris, and donate the proceeds to the charity! Or I could for a large enough fee offer to stop the Simar for 10 minutes…

Andy, I’d love to bring it, but still have no transport, I won’t have until we move. I’m hopeful it will happen this year, but not in time for Stanfield, which if I remember right is around March/April? My transport today was courtesey of the charity. I hope I’ll get to Stanfield as a spectator, so look forward to seeing yours.
