    I recently bought one of these in an auction It has a JAP engine. It is almost complete.Whilst cleaning the carb i lost the float needle. It is an Amal carb but no Serial number. Anyone got any thoughts on where i could find a replacement

    Try George at Villiers Parts. Most Amal carbs have a small ID number stamped into the body somewhere, often where the body clamps to the manifold. If you are emailing him send him a decent image of your carb.
