hi I’m new to restoring Clifford’s , I have 3 I’m trying to restore and the engines are the main problem , I have cleaned them up , new fuel , cleaned carbs, valves are not sticking , there is compression on all , not sure about magnetos
I’m looking to get someone to look at them for me ,I’m based in Luton but I’m willing to travel
I’m also looking for a plough if any one has one

First and foremost , remove the Magnetos , and have them properly tested , your local reputable garden machinery dealer should have a purpose built ignition tester.
Spares for the various Wico mags are readily available.

    Andy.
