    I’ve an Allen Scythe, pictured below, which starts adequately fine but cuts out the minute there is any cutting load on it.

    I’ve cleaned fuel lines and taken air filter off and the problem persists 🙁

    I’ve tried 1:30, 1:25 and 1:16 mixes to no avail.

    I therefore assume that I need to get into the carburettor properly.

    My real question is which Villiers engine is it so that I can get the correct handbook and spare parts please?

    MK25C is the model , the carb is a very simple affair to clean , if after this your problems persist I would be checking the ignition timing.
