Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of fitting a more modern engine to an Allen scythe? I could do with something a little less temperamental than the mk 25c that she has now. Maybe a Honda? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

on later Allen Scythes they did fit a Kohler K91 engine

We used to hire out an Allen Scythe with a Villiers F15 four-stroke. We bought it second hand and always assumed that the F15 was original but it may have been a conversion.
