I just realised after looking on the SIMAR website that 2018 will be 100 years since the prototype rototiller was made.
Does this call for a celebration Charlie ?
Wow, the first powered Horticultural machine to have got to that milestone! Now who has the oldest one in the club?
Motor mowers pre-date the SIMAR. The club weekend at Weeley is going to have a SIMAR theme, bring your ear defenders!
Yes we are planning a Serenade of Simar’s.
How about a plot ploughed and worked to a seedbed entirely by Simars.
Andy.
My Type 5 is 1928, I think someone else has an earlier one.
Andy, that is a good idea. I have plough and cultivator frame for my 56 in addition to rotavator.
Charlie , to save you the bother of changing wheels etc etc , I could bring my 56 with plough already set up.
I think that I will let you two Andy and Charlie to organise this for the Weeley weekend. We will have a chat I the spring. Dave.
count me in would be lovely to see my old simars working andy
So who does have the oldest one in the club – Charlie, as I dont think its you or Mr Dyer at the moment All the best HDtrust
Hi to aĺl i will bring simar 35 To the event. Just got one.
Can’t wait! I’ll be there at least one of the days. See if I can bring a couple of the noisy ones.
I wonder how many different models we can have attend? 5, 10, 30, 35, 56, 222 etc ??? Also what implements, rotavator, plough, soil shredder, cultivator etc???
