Hi all,
I’m sure I’ve said this before, but after a recent experience, I’d like to repeat it.
I ve recently been browsing a well known traction engine forum, and I was shocked by the amount of ignorance, vitriol and general ‘male bovine leavings’ being spouted by supposed adults with a shared hobby!.
Thankfully, the VHGMC is the total opposite. Everyone I have dealt with, both online and in person, has been friendly, courteous and helpful.
This is the first club/forum I have been a member of where I have felt truly welcome and included.
Thank you to everyone, and long may it continue.

Thanks for that vote of confidence. We’re just a normal group of blokes that like to share our knowledge with like-minded people. There’s absolutely no point in falling out with others, no matter what the reason.
This is our hobby and, as such, it should be enjoyable.
Am I right?

Joe, thanks for the vote of thanks. We are all in this hobby for one reason (well should be) and that is to collect, preserve and use our machines and tools etc. It is not about, ‘I have got a bigger collection than you’ or ‘my restoration is shinier than any body else’, or winning more prizes. The club weekends are for all club members to get together and enjoy our hobby.
Looking forward to the next working weekend.
