I have recently bought a non running Gutbrod 1032 from a fellow member (thanks Adam!) and am restoring it to a usable condition. I have copies of copies of the works handbook but not the owner’s manual.
I would really appreciate some advice on:
1. RAL codes for the paint colours (orange and white in my case)
2. What the three positions are for the keyswitch. I know that inserting the key probably connects the LT coil wire to live and pushing it operates the starter but what are position 0, 1 and 2 used for? Is one for charging and another for charging + lights?
3. Hydraulics. I have a pump but no rams. Anyone with any views please air them here!
Thanks,
J
Going by previous forum threads about Ral codes there generally aren’t many for vintage machinery. It’s not uncommon for the shades of colours to be different even on machines of similar age and specification, factories were not as fussy as they are now.
I have had a look through club forum archive material and cannot find any reference to the colours used on Gutbrods.
