    very difficult DVLA at Swansea are not helpful I have a Howard Gem with a buff log book from the 1950,s (buff log books were used before the paper log book )

    for successful ploughing with Howard 350 you need front counter weight and carrier frame also the wheel weights

    could be coil giving warning of giving up, does it cut out suddenly or stutter ? if stutter I would look at carb. Villiers electrics sometimes give good spark until put to work then there is no resistance hence engine cuts out try simple things first like spark plug, condenser etc.

    as far as I know the engines fitted to Howard Gems were BJ (BRITISH JUNIOR), HOWARD TWIN CYLINDER(810 cc), JAP, KOHLER, SACH DIESEL there may be others but I have never heard of a WISCONSIN being fitted, I may be wrong if it is an original engine you must have a very rare machine.

    they must be flat otherwise would bind at end of travel if fingers are properly adjusted
