I am rebuilding my 1947 motocart and am looking for two EXTERNAL LIP oil seals for brake drums.
So far I have got nowhere with usual online suppliers. Can anyone help ?
    Details are :- 3″ OD X 1 7/8″ ID 76.2 x 47.625 mm Part No.EC300128

Did Opperman make their own axle or borrow it or components from a more mass produced vehicle ?

I have had a quick look on Simply Bearings site and they list several seals in that size, you don’t give a dimension for depth.

@plowmate Did you ever find a replacement for the external lip seals for your Motocart brakes?

We have a Motocart that uses the same the same part number EC300128. It seems external lip seals, with a press fit on the shaft, are much more difficult to find than the usual type that press fit into the housing.

    Hi Muncho
Sadly I Never did find replacement seals.I got a friend to turn 2 steel discs of the right size with a groove in the center of the outer edge to take a large O ring. This sort of works if bearings are not over-lubricated.
