Dating Ransomes MG2

Hi all, I’ve just bought my first MG2 and first job I’m trying to do is find out how old it is. Plate on the rear has long gone and I’ve checked the places recommended like the underside of the gearbox cover and the crown wheels but found nothing. Only think I’ve found is a 21 stamped into the LH planetary case. Any help or suggestions of anywhere else to look are greatly appreciated

I am very surprised there are no markings on the edge of the crown wheels as even the spares have them. They should look like this but if you still have a problem please email me njarrett@btinternet.com
