Cowper's patent hand seeder

Hi there,

Does anyone have any information relating to a Cowper’s patent hand seeder? E.g. who they were, were they were based and date of operation. The seeder itself splits the soil, drops seeds and covers it up as you push it along. Size of the seed opening from the central chamber is adjustable via the central rotating bevel with inch and a half spacing. Pics attached.

I’ve not seen one of this make before and am more familiar with Planet Juniors and Jalo.

Hi I think it is a Gower. I have one but have found that to use it the hopper has to have a lot of seed, probably the weight of the seed is important for efficient use.
